Age 84 of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Yvonne was born on March 20, 1932 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Henry and Cora Isaacson. She grew up in Minneapolis and her family later moved to Buffalo. Yvonne graduated from Buffalo High School in 1950.
Yvonne was united in marriage to Vernie Payne in 1951 and their union was blessed with five children.
She worked for Honeywell for 25 years, retiring at the age of 59 years. After her retirement Vernie and she moved to the farm located between Buffalo and Maple Lake. On the farm Yvonne loved growing flowers, raspberries and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds.
Yvonne loved watching Nascar and going to car shows. Her own car collection included an Impala SS, Camaro and a 1992 Chevrolet Carpice wagon that seemed to know the way to the casino.
The time that Yvonne was able to spend with her family was the most precious to her. She especially loved the time spent with her grandchildren and the memories they were able to create together.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Vernie; children Randy, Tobin (Barb), Robyn (Doug) Patri, Vanessa (John) Koshak and JoLinda (Mark) Elletson; grandchildren Ryan (Katie), Nathan, Mitchell (Krystle), Benjamin Patri, Ashley Patri, Amber Patri, Alicia (Jay) Nelson, Malinda (Zach) Gahm, Easton Paulsen, Levi Elletson and Silvonna Elletson; 9 great grandchildren; sister Carol (Chuck) Latterner; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her special friend, Tracy Ahlm who was Yvonne’s hairstylist for 30 years
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul and sister Ruth.
Visitation for Yvonne will be held Wednesday, April 13 from 4-8 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.
Casket bearers are Ryan Payne, Nathan Payne, Mitchell Payne, Benjamin Patri, Levi Elletson and Kolton Payne.
Interment to be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.
Reception to follow at church.
I want to offer my condolences to the Payne family. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death and it pains our creator who has promise to bring our love one back to life. Hosea 13:14 says “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them†then “he will swallow up death forever …”(Isaiah 25:8). I hope these words give you comfort.
