Wilma Olson, 99, of Buffalo died last Friday morning at Parkview Care Center of Buffalo.

In Ottertail, Minnesota, Fred and Mary (nee Burdorf) Wiebe on January 1st, 1908 welcomed a daughter into the world and named her Wilma Martha Wiebe. Wilma graduated from Globe Business College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a degree in stenography in 1931 and a degree in bookkeeping in 1932. On October 6th, 1945 she married Miles Frank Olson in St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple was blessed with 3 children: Ronald, James and Janis. Miles died in 1961 and Wilma started working for Ben Franklin in downtown Buffalo, Minnesota and worked there for 12 years. She was a longtime member of St. John™s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Buffalo and LWML. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Mary Wiebe; sisters: Erna Crosby and Luella Wiebe; brother: Norbert Wiebe; and an infant brother: Elmer Wiebe.

Wilma is survived by her children: Ronald (Madge) Olson of Maple Grove, James (Chan Soon) Olson of Inver Grove Heights, and Janis (Tom) Raster of Hugo; grandchildren: Tim (Rebecca) Raster, Shelly (Shanon) Hoff, Jason (Barbara) Raster, Eric (Linda) Olson, Jeffrey (Melissa) Olson, and Jon Lee; great grandchildren: Jennifer Raster, Alex Raster, Ashley Raster, Kali Williams, Jordan Olson, and Graham Olson; sister: Lorina Wiebe of St. Paul; nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral Service for Wilma will be Monday, October 1st, 2007 at 2pm at St. John™s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Buffalo with a 1-hour visitation prior to the start of the service.

Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery of Buffalo.
