A combined Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rosemary & William Ottmann. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Rosemary L. Ottmann, age 79, of St. Michael, MN passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her residence. William A. Ottmann, age 80, of St. Michael, MN passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. Rosemary was born on November 3, 1934 in Sioux Falls, SD the daughter of Michael and Thekla (Huewe) Lynch. She obtained a BS Degree at St. Theresa’s in Winona and her MBA at the University of Denver. She worked as a Market Researcher for Pillsbury, General Mills and her own company Ottmann Darling Research, Inc. On November 26, 1975, she married William Ottmann in Taos, NM during their ski vacation. Rosemary was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, bird watching and flowers. She was a huge MN Vikings fan and enjoyed the fact that she and Bill had season tickets for many years. Rosemary enjoyed spending time at their lake place on Lake Wabana in Grand Rapids, MN. She is survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a beloved sister Jeanne Kelly, and an aunt Rosemary Cassidy. William was born on September 25, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Arthur & Lily (Pedersen) Ottmann. He honorably served his Country in The United States Air Force for 3 years. Attended the University of Minnesota and became a Metallurgical Engineer. He worked for Ingersoll-Rand and NASA. Married for 40 years to Rosemary. He was a proud Veteran, loved the Minnesota Vikings and was a lifetime member of The National Association of Atomic Veterans. Survived by a sister: Betty (Harry) Christenson; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Rosemary, his parents and by a sister Doris Kruger. A combined Mass of Christian Burial for both Rosemary & William will be held on Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Thursday, August 27th at 10:30 A.M. Assembly #4.
