William Edward Dunning, age 78, of Buffalo passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo.
He was born on April 7, 1940 in Minneapolis the son of Walter E. & Marcella (Johnson) Dunning.
He honorably served his Country in the United States Army from August of 1963 to August of 1965.
On September 24, 1966, William E. Dunning and RoseAnne “Rosie” Marron were joined in holy marriage in Bloomington.
Bill and Rosie owned and operated Mill Creek in Buffalo from 1978 until 1984. They also had the Country Inn Restaurant at the Buffalo Heights Golf Course from 1983 until 1990.
He was an avid bowler and golfer. Bill enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Survived by his loving wife: Rosie Dunning; a daughter: Angela Carlson of Buffalo; a sister: Theresa Zappa of California; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews further survive.
Preceded in death by an infant daughter Marcie Lynn Dunning, his parents, a brother Walter Dunning and by a sister Florence Tuppa.
A Memorial service for William “Bill” Dunning will be held on Thursday, October 18th at 2:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18th from Noon until time of service.
Honorary Bearers will be John Dunning, Charles Beekman, Rick West and Phil Marron.
So sorry we can’t be there on Thursday but we will keep you in our prayers.
