William “Bill” R. Stewart

Born December 27, 1935, passed away June 22, 2015. Bill and his brother, Tom, owned and operated Royalton Heating and Cooling in Brooklyn Park and the two farmed soy beans on the side. In retirement, Bill collected and restored all makes and models of tractors. He enjoyed traveling throughout the world with his wife, Phyllis, traveling on bus tours and by their own car.

William is preceded in death by his parents, William and Frances (Blowers) Stewart; sister, Nancy (Chester) Anhorn; nephews, Brent Stewart, Joshua Anderson; and sister-in-law, Deloris Tengwall.

William will be missed by his best friend and wife of 30 years, Phyllis; brothers, Tom (Laura) Stewart, Dan (Pat) Stewart; sisters, Judy (Dave) Cyr, Liane (Matt) Keane; brothers-in-law, Arlan Tengwall, Wendell (Kitty) Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28 from 2 to 5 PM with prayer service at 2:30 PM at The Peterson Funeral Chapel in Buffalo, 119 Central Ave.

Funeral service Monday, June 29, 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at Salem Covenant Church, 7811 135th St NW, Pennock, MN. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    I’ve known Bill since I was 18 when Tom introduced me to his family. Bill treated Tom’s and my 6 children like his own and they loved him back. Family meant a lot to Bill. He will be missed by everyone. Blessings to you, Phyllis. You and Bill….a perfect couple. Bill made a very wise choice when he brought you into the Stewart family. Love and hugs to you. Sue
