Weldon Bradley Ebert, age 84, of St. Michael, MN passed away on January 7, 2024.

He was born in Minneapolis (Corcoran), Minnesota to Alfred and Lillian (Neumann) Ebert on May 28, 1939.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lillian Ebert; brothers Russell (Nancy); Alvin (Inga); Allan; Robert (Thelma); sister Lorna Mae (Bobby) Holland, brother-in-law Donald Potter and foster daughter Louise Amann.

To know Weldon was to love Weldon.  He always had a joke and a smile for all that he met.  Raised on the farm in Corcoran, he gained a strong work ethic and as one of the younger children was a known prankster.  During his lifetime proudly served in the Army as an MP at a nuclear missile site; he also served the Hanover community as a police officer (where he was known to give rides home when people were having too much fun) and a volunteer fireman for over 10 years.  Weldon had strong hands that were always there to help wherever needed, working with concrete in the early days, on the Dixon family farm, as machinist at C&W Spinning, Caprice Woodcraft, B&D Machine Inc., delivering wood at the River Inn or making his famous maple syrup at the sugar shack.

Survived by loving wife Gloria (Dixon) of 62 years and children Janell (Dan) Goskey, Bradley (Amy) Ebert, LeeAnn (Fred) Fielding, Thomas (Tabitha) Ebert; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sister Dianne Potter of Spooner, WI as well as many nieces and nephews and several Godchildren.  Weldon was blessed with a huge heart that not only encompassed his family, but everyone that he met including our very special “family” Kermit & Josh Amann; Troy Daily; as well as his special friends at the River Inn.

He will live on in our hearts forever ……                                              not half baked, but Wel Don!

Weldon is a great friend of me and Carrie, I am going to miss him stopping over on the lawn mower for a beer. Best neighbor a guy could ever have. This is Weldons famous line that I want to give back. (Good day) I will miss you friend.
