Wallace Martin “Wally” Farniok, age 83, of Delano passed away on Friday, February 15th, 2013 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

He was born on March 18, 1929 in rural Delano, Franklin Township the son of Martin & Margaret Cebulla Farniok.

On May 15, 1957, Wallace M. “Wally” Farniok and Elaine M. Dalbec were joined in holy marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. God blessed their marriage with a son Troy.

Wally was formerly employed as a custodian at The Delano High School for many years.

He was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano.

Wally and Elaine loved to dance. He always enjoyed visiting with friends and meeting with them for morning coffee. Wally always took pride in keeping up his home and yard. He and Elaine enjoyed going to casinos. Wally loved his family, especially his grandchildren!

Survived by a son: Troy (Amy) Farniok of Delano; grandchildren: Kenny & Jacqueline Farniok; step granddaughters: Abbie and Ella Jaunich; sisters and a brother: Margaret Abdnor, Eileen (Robert) Merchant and Richie (Sandy) Farniok; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife: Elaine, his parents, brothers and sisters: John, Donald , Clem, Jean Meuleners, Ambrose “Bob”, Jim Valeria Topel.

Mass of Christian Burial for Wally Farniok will be held on Wednesday, February 20th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19th from 4-8 P.M. at the church. A Prayer service will be held at 6:45 P.M. Further visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass on Wednesday, February 20th.

Casket Beaerers will be Mike Horsch, Chris Leonard, Susan Farniok, Bobby Farniok, Jim Meuleners and Gary Farniok.
