November 22, 1938 – April 9, 2023

Waldo James Charles Solberg, age 84, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2023.

Waldo was born on November 22, 1938 in a little house by the Crow River, the son of William and Esther (Ordorff) Solberg.

He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1957.   He was on the football team and was All Conference two years in a row.   He also enjoyed track and wrestling.

He had a long career as a bricklayer and was a journeyman in the Bricklayers Union.

Waldo enjoyed Nascar, fishing, attending tractor shows, bird watching, polka music and having a cold beer.

He was preceded in death by his significant other of many years Rosella Wolfe, his parents William and Esther Solberg and by a sister Eileen Solberg.

Survived by his siblings: Theodore “Ted” (Jean) Solberg and Myron (Linda) Solberg both of Buffalo and Leon Solberg of Pompano Beach, Florida; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Waldo Solberg will be held on Sunday, April 16th at 2:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.   Pastor James Grabitske will officiate.

Interment will follow at Kreidler Cemetery rural Montrose.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 16th one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

    Sorry to hear of Waldo’s passing. It was a pleasure knowing him. He made me laugh and we enjoyed building things in the dining room. May all your fond memories bring you peace as well.
