Virgil Warren Dalbec Jr., age 37, of rural Montrose, passed away on Friday morning, July 22nd, 2011 near Waverly.

He was born on June 20, 1974 in Carver County the son of Virgil A. & Jean Driver Dalbec Sr.

Virgil graduated from Howard Lake-Waverly High School in 1992.

He was employed as a laborer in masonry construction.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his sons, snowmobiling and tinkering with things.

Survived by his sons: Virgil Dalbec Jr. & Isaiah Dalbec of Montrose and Dylan Dalbec of Winsted; his father: Virgil A. Dalbec Sr.; brother: Jason (Joelle) Dalbec and a sister: Melissa (Harley) Olson all of New Richland, MN; half brother: Jeremy (Michelle) Driver; nine nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; special friend: Chris Brenny; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother: Jean Dalbec on April 7, 2008.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Virgil Dalbec Jr. will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 25th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, July 26th one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Casket Bearers will be Chris Brenny, Matthew Dalbec, Tregg Dalbec, Treston Dalbec, Derrek Dalbec and Jared Dalbec.

    I’m so sorry about Virgil. It’s been years since I’ve seen him, but I thought of him often. Such an awesome person to know. My prayers are with his family.

    I’m so saddened for your loss. I have never forgotten about Virgil and it was always a nice surprise hearing from him time and time and knowing he was doing well. My prayers go out to your family. You will be missed Virgil.
