Violet Olea Rosine, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with our LORD and joined in heaven her family and friends who have gone before her. Violet left this earth on April 1, 2011 at the age of 89.
She was born on June 17, 1921 to Ole & Eline Melby in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 2 sisters, her husband Kennard and son Ron.
Survived by sons Larry (Carole) and Bruce (Sheree) and daughters Barbara (Dean) Johnson and Lori (Todd) Collins, 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She dearly loved her LORD and family and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Violet will be remembered for her kindness, wonderful sense of humor, dignity and grace and the unwavering love she gave to her family.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 4th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave., Buffalo.
The Reverend James Disney will officiate at the funeral at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 302 NE 2nd St, Buffalo at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5th.
