Vern was my every other week “Thurdsay” morning visitor while Betty was at church. We would sit here at the shop and talk about life and most of all his little great grandson that lived with him for a short time. His stories were so heartfelt, and myself having a son about the same age, our conversations were so touching, and memorable. I enjoyed every minute of his visits, from giving the guys a hard time…telling them “GET BACK TO WORK” to the “GEEZE THERE SURE ARE A LOT OF CARS DRIVING BY ON THAT FREEWAY TODAY”. Vern is going to be truly missed, he will be a unforgettable memory to me. I pray for his family in this time of his journey to heaven, and know that he is now finally resting peacefully without pain in those darn knees of his. Until we meet again….
