Vernon Adolph Lenneman

age 83, of Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Vernon was born September 2, 1932 in St. Michael, Minnesota to Mathew and Monica (Marx) Lenneman.

On September 17, 1955, Vernon Adolph Lenneman and Harriet Ruth Vetsch were joined in holy marriage at the Catholic Church of St. Albert in Albertville, Minnesota. The two were blessed with seven children.

Vernon farmed on the family farm until his retirement. He was a Korean War Veteran and was a member of the St. Michael American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, spending time with family and friends at their lake home. Vernon had a great sense of humor, and loved to tease people.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mathew and Monica.

Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Harriet; children, Dennis (Anita), George, Doreen (Marvin) Valerius, Lori (Henry) Zachman, Steve (Julie), Kevin (Kari), Doug (Bridget); 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are Vernon’s grandsons, Dan Valerius, Mat Lenneman, Nathan Lenneman, Tyler Lenneman, Jason Lenneman, Cole Lenneman, Logan Lenneman and Nick Lenneman.

Honorary casket bearers are Vernon’s granddaughters, Monica Valerius, Leah Klimek, Stacy Zachman, Brittany Lenneman, Katie Lenneman, Cassie Lenneman and Brooke Lenneman.

Visitation Monday, December 28, 2015, 4 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Buffalo.
Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 300 1st Ave. NW, Buffalo.

Interment St. Michael Cemetery.
