Tyson Jerome Kinney, age 9, of Albertville passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born on October 25, 2005 in Monticello the son of Brandon J. Kinney & Jessica A. (Vetsch) Kinney.

He was a 3rd grader at Big Woods Elementary.

Tyson enjoyed: baseball, video games, rap music, playing with friends, trucks and cars, playing on the trampoline, bread – when he grew up he wanted to be a bread taster.

Survived by his father: Brandon Kinney of Elk River; his mother: Jessica (Vetsch) Kinney of Albertville; a brother: Owen age 10; a sister: Maya age 1; grandparents; Elizabeth Vetsch and Trent (Judy) Kinney; aunts and uncles: Marcia (Steve) Knase, Tony (Val) Barthel, Lynn (Scott) Black, Melissa (Todd) Elfstrom, Jaime (Krista) Kinney, Tara (Jeff) Harrer, Scott Lehn; eighteen cousins; many other family and friends.

Preceded in death by grandparents; Dale Vetsch and Cheryll (Huggett) Lehn.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Tyson Jerome Kinney will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville. Celebrant will be Father Xavier Thelakkatt.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 4 – 8 pm at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville with prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Honorary Pallbearers: Steven Barthel, Parker Harrer, Alex Kinney, Keegan Elfstrom, Brecken Elfstrom, Dale Lehn.

Pallbearers will be Joe Knase, Cody Black, Mitch Barthel, Rick Robertson, Jason Dodds, Chad Lillydahl.
