Timothy Harold Kwakenat, 76, of Buffalo passed away at Parkview Care Center on Tuesday, November 3rd 2015.

He was born On May 27th, 1939 in Minneapolis the son of Harold & Evelyn (Sundgren) Kwakenat.

On September 23, 1961, Timothy H. Kwakenat & Ellen M. Thompson were joined in holy marriage at Richfield Lutheran Church. God blessed their marriage with four children.

He was formerly employed as a shipping foreman.

Tim was a fun-loving man with a huge heart! He had a ready smile and was a friend to everyone he met. There was nothing he enjoyed more than taking his family on numerous trips to Disney World over the years. He never missed going to the State Fair with them. He held epic Easter egg hunts for his family and no one was ever too old to hunt for the eggs.
He loved parades and marching music. He was a member of the Gopher Post band and then the Minneapolis Police Band. In later years, he enjoyed and was proud to watch his kids and grandkids also march and participate in parades.
Tim also enjoyed traveling and taking ‘road trips’ with his wife and family to and from Florida. The grandkids loved going on camping trips in grandpa and grandma’s motorhome.
Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, birdwatching and the outdoors and he passed those passions onto his family.

Survived by wife of 54 years: Ellen (Thompson) Kwakenat;four children: Tracy (Kevin) Ahlm, Todd Kwakenat, Robert (Tina) Kwakenat and Amy (Shannon) Krecklau; grandchildren: Nicole and Kyle Kwakenat, Molly Kwakenat, Katlyn and Danielle Krecklau; great grandchildren: Ali, Xavier and Harper; a sister: Jill (Lee)Hetland and niece and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by parents Harold and Evelyn (Sundgren) Kwakenat, brothers Thomas and Joel and by a sister Kay Patterson.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

A time of gathering will be held on Monday, November 9th one hour prior to services at the church.
