Thomas “Tom” Menzel

age 56 of Buffalo, MN passed away on April 12, 2016 at his home. Tom was born on December 25, 1959 to Floyd and Elaine (Hanson) Menzel in Hibbing, MN. He moved with his family to Buffalo in 1962. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1979. Tom worked for the Minnesota State Misquito Patrol for many years and most recently for the Buffalo Dry Cleaners. Tom was very active in 4-H where he showed his hourses during the county fairs. He enjoyed opening day of deer, duck and pheasant hunting and fishing. He liked finding treasures at the flea market and antique shows. He also raised chickens and rabbits.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Elaine and partner, Barb Hamm.

He is survived by his brothers, Larry (Diane) Menzel and David (Lorie) Menzel; sister, Debra (Gerald) Lawhon; and nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

    To Tom’s family and friends; I am so appreciative of the times I spent working with Tom right out of high school at Metro Misquito Control. It was made special partnering with Tom that summer. It was truly only of the best jobs I had. We are sad for your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
