Thomas “Tom” McDonald, age 80, of St. Michael passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; children, Mark, Colleen Schnappauf and Katherine; grandchildren, Brandon, Jarod and Emily; sisters Shirley (Fred)Pithey, Mary Mattson and Susan Scully; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Tom served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired employee of IBM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society or DAV.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 19 from 4-8 PM with prayer service at 7 PM at The Peterson Chapel, St. Michael/Albertville. Further visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Monday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 20 at 11 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael.

Interment on Tuesday, October 21 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
