Theodore “Ted” George Bruska, age 68, of rural Buffalo unexpectedly left us and went to his eternal home in heaven on Good Friday, April 6th, 2012.
He was born on April 18, 1943 in Buffalo the son of George W. & Lillie H. Reifler Bruska.
Theodore was baptized on May 30, 1943 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake by Pastor W.C. Nickels. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on May 26th, 1957 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor Gerhard H. Geiger.
Ted graduated from Buffalo High School in 1961.
As a young man, he engaged in dairy farming with his father in Frankfort Township, Wright County.
He later was employed for many years at Crystal Cabinets.
He enjoyed playing cards.
Ted was a lifelong, faithful member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake.
Survived by his sisters: Olga Bruska and Lillian (Arvid) Schroeder; sister-in-law: Sheila Bruska; nephews and a niece: Justin, Jeff, Jenni and Scott; cousins and dear friends.
He will be greatly missed!
Preceded in death by his parents: George & Lillie Bruska and by a brother Alvin.
Funeral services for Theodore “Ted” Bruska will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake. Pastor Stephen A. Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Special music will be provided by Jeanne Dixon.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10th from 4-8 P.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Further visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11th one hour prior to services at the church.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Hillard Kalk, Roger Reifler, David Dixon and Andy Block.
Casket Bearers will be Clyde Martin, Justin Schroeder, Jeff Bruska, Scott Bruska, Bruce Ostenson and Lloyd Morin.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
I will miss seeing him at auctions and say thanks for being a cool Godfather.
I wish to add my condolences. I have many fond memories of my cousin, Ted.
