Sylvia E. Brunskill, age 88 of Monticello, MN passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at CenterCare of Monticello, Monticello surrounded by her loving family. Funeral service on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2 PM at Word Of Peace Lutheran Church, Rogers, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Inurnment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Fort Snelling, MN.
Sylvia was born on June 23, 1925 to Gottlieb & Lydia (Rothfusz) Kempf in Ashley, ND. She attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. She worked for the Post Office in Fargo for 32 years, 25 of those years as the secretary for the Postmaster. She married John Brunskill on October 30, 1946 in Fargo, ND. She loved biking with her husband, John. Sylvia lived in Fargo from 1944 until 2006. She enjoyed playing bridge & was a member of the Bridge Club. She was a very sociable person who always had a smile on her face & enjoyed being around people. She was a loving wife, mother & truly loved her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family.
A special thank you to the staff at CentraCare of Monticello who took such wonderful, loving care of our mother.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, John in 2000, three brothers, Art, Rudy & Ben, sister, Annette & grandson, Tyler.
Sylvia is survived by her children, Steve Brunskill, Susan (Jerry) Cossette, Douglas (Patty) Brunskill, Conny (George Erickson) Brunskill; grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Sara, Matthew, Kaycee, Chantell, Amber & Theo; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Quinn, Amaya & Lilian; twin brother, Ted (Loretta) Kempf.
