Suzanne “Suzy” Strege, age 54 of Buffalo, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

Suzy was born July 22, 1967 in Waseca, MN to Robert and Annette Lord. She graduated from Waseca High School in 1985 and Saint Mary’s University in 1989 with a degree in Elementary Education.

On October 9, 1993 Suzy was united in marriage to Roger Strege and they were blessed with two daughters, Taylor and Claire. Suzy adored her girls and loved everything about being a mother.

Suzy had a keen eye for all things crafty and loved creating hand-made gifts and cards for her friends. She was active in the decorating committee at St. John’s Lutheran Church for many years. She loved hanging out in her “she-shed” porch with friends and neighbors, walking the family dog Roxy, riding bicycle, attending Pearl Jam concerts with Roger, and summertime Camaro rides. Always the prankster, Suzy would go to great lengths to make herself and others laugh.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert.

She is survived by her husband, Roger, daughters Taylor and Claire; sister Tracy Lord; mother, Annette Lord; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MN, at 11:00am Thursday, June 2, 2022. There will be visitation at the church before the funeral from 9:30am- 11:00am. Lunch will be served at the church immediately following the service.

Suzy was such a ray of sunshine in the neighborhood. She loved life and you could tell wanted to make the world a better place for those she was around. I will miss her witty comments and seeing what next adventure or prank she had up her sleeve.
May the loving memories bring you comfort, strength and peace as you navigate the days ahead.

God’s peace to you Roger, Taylor and Claire. Suzy was one of the sweetest souls I have ever met. She also became one of the strongest people I’ve known. I will miss her bright smile and friendly chats across the street. Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live”. May His promise and never ending love bring you comfort in the days ahead.

I could not have asked for a better, more supportive sister. Her loss will leave a forever hole in my heart.

Suzy was truly the embodiment of 2 Timothy 4:7-8. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Suzy: This is only temporary; I believe we will be reunited again. It will seem like a short wait to you and an eternity to those left behind.

Roger and the rest of the family, I never met Suzy, but she must have been awesome because Roger adored her.
