January 16, 1961 – December 28, 2023

Suzanne M. Hauer (nee Beal), age 62 of St. Michael passed away on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on January 16, 1961 in Watertown, Minnesota the daughter of Willis & Marion (Schumacher) Beal.

She grew up on the dairy farm in Independence Minnesota going to SS. Peter and Paul grade school in Loretto, then to Benilde-St. Margaret high school. She enjoyed spending time with her grandmother Susan Schumacher at the Schumacher cabin. Suzanne loved her family especially her kids.  She was also fond of cross-stitching, beading jewelry, sewing costumes and crafts.    She made people happy with her homemade gifts.    Suzanne was always willing to help others.

Sue worked for Wagner for several years, and later she worked at Jo-Ann Fabric for many years and was very creative herself, crafting and creating many wonderful cards and gifts for various occasions. She also loved quilting, and baking.

On September 13, 1986, Suzanne Marie Beal and Thomas Charles Hauer were joined in holy marriage at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Loretto.  God blessed their marriage with two sons Joseph and Michael. She loved her grandson Emrik through Joe and Chelsey also living in St. Michael.

She is survived by loving husband: Tom; sons: Joseph (Chelsey) Hauer and Michael Hauer; a grandson: Emrik; siblings: Stephen (Anne) Beal, Leonard (Anita) Beal, and Marietta (Chris) Cady; her mother-in-law: Bernice Hauer; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by twin brothers Raymond and Joseph Beal, her parents and father-in-law Charles Hauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Suzanne Marie Hauer will be held at  11 AM Thursday, January 4th, 2024 at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael.   Father Brian Park will be the Celebrant.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3rd from 4-7 PM.   A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 P.M.  Further visitation at the church on Thursday, January 4th one hour prior to Mass.
