Susan Ewald, age 66 of St. Michael, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. She was born July 6, 1953 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Charles and Solveig (Opsahl) Ewald.
Sue worked in the printing industry for many decades. She enjoyed gardening, her pets, and spending time with family and friends. Her true, lifelong, passion was horses, and she was very active in the horse community. She had an adventurous personality and loved trying new experiences.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Sue is survived by her siblings, Paul (Linda) Ewald, Carol Ewald, Barb Ewald, Phil Ewald; niece, Emily Kokx (Jay); nephews, Luke Ewald and Zach Ewald; great-nephew, Logan; great-niece, Chloe; beloved pets; and many cherished friends.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St. N, St. Michael, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal organization of donor’s choice in memory of Sue and her love for animals.

It is hard to list all the great memories I was fortunate to share with Sue. There have been so many. Sue was truly a special person who lived an amazing life enjoying her passion with so many great friends. Sue will be missed.
Mike and I owned Apple Jack Orchards when Sue worked for us over many seasons. It was a second job for Sue but nevertheless she was dedicated and very reliable. Such a hard worker and a great person. So sorry she is gone too soon.
We are sorry to hear of your passing cousin Sue, yet the ties that bind us together in this life do not unravel with our mortal death. May we all join you one day in eternal life and happiness.
A life-long cherished friendship. You will be truly missed. I will find comfort in the many treasured memories made over the years of our shared times together. Until we meet again, sweet Sue, I love you my dear friend.

I’ve known Sue for many years going back over 24 years when she came to my farm and watch me work with Gudi’s sister. Always willing to help her and Gudi led the way for me and my young horse trail riding around Brightonwood Farm. A true horselady,

Sue will be sorely missed by the LSC List Services team, as well as others in the LSC community where she had worked for over ten years. She was dedicated and hard working, always providing outstanding service and support to her customers. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile to help customers and team members will always be remembered.
She was respected as a horsewoman and loved as a friend. So many people, and animals, will miss her.
