Dear family of Steve,
Steve, Julie and Jill used to live in the apartment above me when I was in middle school on College street in Milton. He was a senior when I was a freshman. Someone always played trumpet but never past bedtime. He was always polite and we were good neighbors. May you have peace in your heart , he was a wonderful person along with all the friends he brought over to visit. I am thankful to have known a kindhearted family.
Carmen, Alex, Carlie, and Jake- You guys are in our thoughts and we are here for you anytime. Had a nice little chuckle the other night remembering Steve being thrown out of the dome with Anna and Evaristo at one of the games watching the remainder through a glass window! All the times he made us laugh on the sidelines! His smile brightened up anyone’s day and his laugh was infectious! You are a great family! We love you! The Thomson’s (Mike, Carolyn, Cade, Delaney, and Finn)
Such a loss, Steve was a fun guy to work with, always had that smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by all his friends near and far. Prayers to his family in this tough time.
He will be missed. Our condolences to the family during this difficult time
-the class of 1989.
I will always think of Steve’s big welcoming smile when my thoughts are of him. RIP “Stevie”. Sorry to all the family and their loss! We all loved you!
I wanted to send my condolences to Steve’s wife & children and to Julie and her family.
I grew up on the same street with Steve & Julie. We had a lot of fun times on Roger’s St. Steve was a great friend to many. He truly was on of the good guys! I can’t imagine the void his family is feeling as I can only imagine what a great father, husband, brother and Uncle he grew up to be. I hadn’t seen him in years but still consider him a great friend. RIP, Steve. I’m comforted knowing you are with your mom.
I am so sorry to see this news. I recall Steve always having a smile on his face whenever I saw him in school. My prayers go out to his wife, kids, and sister. Keep the memories close. <3
Godspeed!!

Steve befriended me and my family when we were fellow soccer-dads, cheering our sons from the sidelines. I admired his loving support for his son Alex and appreciated his kindness and fairness to other boys on the team. Steve generously invited my son along on cross-country soccer trips when I couldn’t travel. He was one of the good guys.
My sincerest condolences to the Krumenauer family. Steve’s charisma, charm, and passion will be missed.
Our condolences from the Freeport (FHN) team, while we only worked with Steve briefly he was very energetic and knowledgeable. Prayers will be with you,

My heart hurts for all of you. Steve was an incredible person. I have the pleasure of meeting all of our new employees at Vizient on their first day. Steve was a bright spot. His charm, wit and intelligence made a positive impact. I know you are proud of him. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Prayers for peace and comfort to all who loved Steve. His kindness and compassion will always be remembered.
There are so many great things that I could tell you about Steve that you all already know because you were blessed to have him in your lives daily. I feel so fortunate that he touched my life through work, he was an amazing trainer and mentor. He is someone that could light up a room just with his presence. I still remember sitting with him on a cold winter day in a small conference room learning everything Captis. He will be remembered fondly and let his light continue to shine. Prayers and thoughts are with you all.
Carmen, I just wanted you and your family you are in our thoughts and prayers. Steve is at peace now after such a long fight with cancer. Hugs to all of you
Carmen and family-I am so sorry to read this! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Although I didn’t have the pleasure of getting to know Steve’s family, working with Steve was always a pleasure. There was more than one work trip with Steve where we were able to connect after hours get to know each other better. I learned a lot from him, and know the impact he must have made on his family and friends was profound. I wish all the best to his family during these hard times, and my prayers are with you all.
Carmen and family. I feel truly blessed to have known Steve. I met him in the soccer world and our friendship crossed over into business as well. Steve was one of the most generous giving people to all around him. Meals and rides for soccer kids that couldn’t afford it. Always a role model to so many young men. Jake and I send our condolences. The world last a wonderful father, husband and all around good man way to early.
I first met Steve when he came to Phoenix, Arizona, wearing a suit when it was 117 degrees out. Steve made more than one trip for meetings in extremely hot weather, and even though uncomfortable, we were able to laugh about it. It was a lot more pleasant for me to see Steve in Minnesota, but with some cold days for me instead of hot days. As so many others, it was so easy to love Steve as a friend. Steve was a wonderful person. My prayers go out to Steve’s family that God will somehow comfort you.
Extending my deepest sympathies to Steve’s family. When I first talked to Steve, I remember thinking to myself wow he is so cool and I can’t wait to work with him! I loved hearing about his 3 children and his wife. He truly loved his work and his family. My heart is heavy and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Steve will be deeply missed.
My heart and prayers are with you all as you mourn your loss. Rest peacefully in the knowledge Steve is with his Father. God bless.
Dear Carmen and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of loss and grieving. I worked with Steve via his Captis leadership as one of the contract managers at Mayo Clinic. I always enjoyed Steve’s positive attitude pre-cancer and post-cancer as he didn’t let this define him or change his outlook.
God bless,
Scott Jurrens
Dear Carmen and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of loss and grief.
I worked with Steve as one of that Mayo Clinic contract managers that would bring forward Captis contract for the Captis organization that Steve led/directed.
What was impressive to me is that Steve did not let this disease define his life and attitude and outlook.
He will be missed.
God bless,
Scott
I am so grateful to have gotten to know Steve as part of the Captis family and I will always have fond memories of our many phone calls. I believe we all become from the encounters we have in our lives with others, what a gift that we can call Steve our friend, forever. I keep thinking of a quote from Abraham Lincoln “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that counts. It’s the life in your years”. My thoughts and prayers to Steve’s family, know that many positive thoughts will continue.
My thoughts and prayers are with Steve’s family and friends during this difficult time. I only began to get to know Steve in the last year and during our first meeting in Irving it was quickly evident that he was not only extremely smart, but also charismatic with a great sense of humor. It was an honor to have known him. May the memories he has created give peace to all who have loved him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Steve was always very courteous and willing to help in any situation. He was my “go to man” for Captis questions. May he Rest in Peace.
