In her early years, Shirley owned Ray Otto’s Greenhouse, and she enjoyed bee keeping, gardening, playing in the church’s bell choir, and singing in the church choir. She was a great nature lover. She also volunteered in the gift shop at the Buffalo Hospital and at Wise Penny Thrift Store in Buffalo. She was a kind hearted, loving, strong woman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mrytle Swertfeger; and brothers, Kenneth Swertfeger and Fred Swertfeger.

Shirley will be missed dearly by her children, Mark (Evelyn) Workcuff of Rockford, Chuck Workcuff of Monticello, Julie (Roger) Chap of Cokato, Janet Cafferty of Delano; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; beloved dog, Elvis; and many other loving family and friends.
