Shirley Ann Sheets (nee Rust) 68 of Rogers, Minnesota.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away
due to injuries sustained in an accident on January 15, 2010, in
McAllen, Texas.
Born August 25, 1941 to Harry and Viola Rust in Hendricks, MN.
Shirley was a life-long member of St. Walburga’s/Mary Queen of Peace
Catholic Church in Fletcher/Rogers and was devoted to her family and
friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the
grandkids, cooking, baking, cross-stitching, gardening and traveling
the country in the Sprint Camper with Grandpa. She had many, many
friends, far and wide and was loved by all.
Grandma was an organ donor and we are proud to say that due to her
organ donation she helped 80 people.
Shirley is survived by the love of her life, husband of 46 years,
Gary; two daughters Brenda (David) Bittman of Albertville MN; Sherri
(Andrew) Maas of Elk River, MN; and one son, Shawn (Noell) Sheets of
Monticello, MN; as well as two sisters, Ruth (Gary) Weiss of
Lamberton, MN and Jo (Gary) Riisager of Foreston, MN; nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.
Shirley was the proud Grandmother of eight grandchildren, Jessica,
Michael, Amber, Melanie, Mitchell, Dawson, Carter and Madison as well
as great-grandson, Tyler, and could always be counted on to pull out
her collection of the kids’ pictures.
