Visitation Information

Shelly Ann Lynch, age 41, of Elk River, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at her residence.

She was born on May 19, 1969, in Watertown, MN, the daughter of Duane J. and Cherry K. Hickman DeMarais.

Shelly graduated from Howard Lake-Waverly (MN) High School in 1987. She later attended Rasmussen Business College for two years.

On June 24, 1989, Shelly A. DeMarais and David J. Lynch were joined in holy marriage at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake.

Shelly was currently employed at J&B Meats in St. Michael, MN, in shipping and receiving.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, especially deer hunting and bowling. Shelly was a former Girl Scout Troop Leader.

Survived by her husband: David J. Lynch; daughters: Whitney and Jeralee; son: Greg; her father: Duane (Lois) DeMarais of Buffalo, MN; her mother: Cherry DeMarais of Howard Lake; a brother: Denny DeMarais of Maple Lake, MN; a sister: Janelle (Dan) Stokes of Howard Lake; grandmother: Margaret DeMarais of Howard Lake; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends including special friend Lynda.

Preceded in death by a brother: John Clem DeMarais and grandparents: John “Jack” DeMarais and Clem and Gladys Hickman.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Shelly Lynch was held on Saturday, October 23rd at 10:00 A.M. Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Timothy Cloutier was the Celebrant.

Interment followed at Marysville Catholic Cemetery.

A visitation was held on Friday, October 22nd from 4-8 P.M. at the Church.

Casket Bearers were Dave Lent, Michael Hanks, Duane Hickman, Dave Brown, Jarrod Driver, and Ali Hill.

The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo is proud to have served the family.
