Visitation Information

Shane “Evil” M. Porter, age 36 of Buffalo died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Buffalo Hospital.

He was born on June 20, 1973 to Terry Madden & Sandra Porter in Minneapolis. A class of 1991 graduate of Edison Senior High School in Minneapolis Shane worked various carpentry and construction jobs, the latest being the 35W bridge. He belonged to carpenters union local #1644 for seven years. He also earned money racing motorcycles and working in the pit crew. He was a member CRA central road racing association and the AMA – American motorcycle association. In April of 2000 Shane met Jamie Jopp. They were wed in Osseo on January 5, 2008 and were blessed with a son. Besides spending time with his family, Shane enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.

Survived by: wife, Jamie & son, Logan; mother, Sandra Steves, Coon Rapids; sister, Stacy Mikkelson (Sara Shykes), Inver Grove Heights; parents-in-law, Tim & Kathy Jopp; grandmother-in-law, Judy Paulus, all of Maple Grove; sisters-in-law: Jeana (Trenton) Perron, Otsego & Jennifer Jopp (Patrick Creech), Burnsville; nieces, Piper Perron & Ariana Creech; nephews, Tristan Perron & Evan Shykes; special friends: chocolate lab Kali Jo & black cat Dodger “Fatty Blackness”.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 7:30 PM at The Peterson Chapel – St. Michael/Albertville funeral home in St. Michael. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM until the time of the service.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred.

I was thinking about some times we all shared together and it made me cry of course but then there were some laughs with it also because I would think about something Evil would do or say with all of us and it reminded me of how he could make everyone laugh and smile like no one else. He was always the life of the party! I so VIVIDLY remember his belt buckle that he had that he wore that said “EVIL” He loved that thing and it was awesome! He will always be remembered for the GREAT man he was! Rest in Peace our Evil!
