Scott “Tiny” R. Krause, age 61 of Buffalo, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2018 at his residence.

Scott was born the son of Richard & Mary (Forsythe) Krause on June 18, 1957 in Buffalo, MN.  Scott lived his entire life in the Buffalo area and was a 1975 graduate of Buffalo Senior High School.  He was known as the “Gentle Giant” by anyone that knew and loved him.

Scott is survived by his mother Mary “Muddy” Krause; sisters Barb (Jim) Rancour of Onamia, MN and Becky Steiger of Annandale, MN; nephews Dustin & Duane Schlagel; Joe & Richie Steiger; niece Malorie Steiger; grand nieces Gina Schlagel, Mia & Mylee Steiger-Chau; special friend Mary Ann McDonald; also other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Richard; grandparents Reinhold & Evelyn Krause and Winfred & Gladys Forsythe.

Memorial services for Scott will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service all at Zion Lutheran Church, 1200 Highway 25 S., Buffalo. Reception to follow at church.

Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery of Buffalo, MN.

    I have precious memories of going out west with tiny and working for the oil companies in the mountains. Life in the wild west was different than Buffalo Minnesota that’s for sure.

    Something today reminded me of my friend Tiny. I haven’t seen or heard from him in over 20 years. We worked together in the seismoghraph industry for 5 years. Which means you work, move and live together. Tiny is such a great actually thoughtful and what a sense of humor. Can’t say I have ever met more of a mountain of a man that was as gentle as he was. That said, I didn’t want to piss him off… Remember the potato sausage he would bring back from home, must have been mom’s. Tiny always had his flannel shirt on and when it got below zero he might throw a jean jacket on!!! I miss my friend… Bob T
