Scott Arnold MacDonald, age 66 of Buffalo, MN, passed away on November 25, 2023. He was born to Robert MacDonald and the late Elaine Torkelson on September 25, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN. Scott dealt with many struggles, but deeply cared for his family and had an affection for the simple joys of life.

A man of many talents, Scott found joy in the kitchen through cooking. When afforded, Saturdays were marked by salad, baked potato, and an excellent sirloin steak. He liked trying new recipes and his culinary creations became a source of comfort and delight for everyone.

Scott loved celebrating all holidays, especially Halloween, and took great pleasure in decorating his home for each special occasion. The festive ambiance created by Scott brought joy to those fortunate enough to share in these celebrations.

Scott’s love for animals, particularly his cats and dogs, brought warmth and companionship into his life. His pets were not just animals; they were members of his family.

Those close to Scott knew the tragedy of his struggle with alcoholism. Its impact on his life was a source of deep sadness for those who cared and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elaine.

Scott is survived by his loving son, Alex (Cassie) MacDonald, and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia and Colin. His father, Robert, and half-brother, Dave Paulson, will hold his memory close, as will numerous other relatives and friends whose lives were enriched by Scott’s presence.
