August 30, 1963 – February 18, 2022
Scott Douglas Berg, age 58, of St. Cloud and formerly of St. Michael was discovered passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022.
He was born on August 30, 1963 in Park Rapids, MN. The son of William “Bill” & Darlene (DeLaine) Berg.
Scott honorably served his Country in the military. He was stationed in South Korea in the Army and drove trucks. From there, pursued a degree in Civil Engineers at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology as a SDSM&T Alumni. He graduated with a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering on May 11th, 1996. He was a respected innovative leader in his career and inspired those around him.
Scott enjoyed creating music with his guitars and being out in nature. This included; skiing the most challenging hills out west, and climbing the Grand Tetons out in Wyoming. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed cooking, hiking, hunting, fishing, dirt biking, snowmobiling and playing hockey. Driving trucks and being out on the open road has always been a favorite pastime, as well.
Family was very important to him, especially celebrating & recognizing important life events. He was very thoughtful, & caring in his ways. He also was especially supportive, loving and very proud of his three children. Having his children brought him the most joy and meaning out of life in itself.

I am very sorry to hear this. Scott was a good man. He helped me for many years! It has been a long time since I’ve seen him. I hope his last years were good ones. I am sorry I didn’t get to see him more. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do.
Rest well and be blessed, my dear cousin, and may all of your family and loved ones be comforted in the peace of our Lord. 🙏🏻
