Sarah M. Fischer, age 88 of rural Buffalo, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Buffalo Hospital.

Sarah Marie was born on September 26, 1919 in rural Buffalo (Frankfort Township) to Fred and Elizabeth (nee Niesen) Weese. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Buffalo and took first communion at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. In March of 1939, Sarah married Clarence Fischer at St. John™s Lutheran Church in Maple Grove. She attended church there with her husband for many years, until poor health made it difficult to do so. For many years Sarah was a seamstress to Buffalo™s Wonderall clothing manufacturer. She even enjoyed sewing in her free time, as well as watching the birds at the feeder. She especially enjoyed reading.

Sarah Fischer was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clarence, rural Buffalo; daughter, LaVonne (Harvey) Berglund, rural Buffalo; four grandchildren: Sheila (Gene) Blandford, rural Buffalo, Shane Berglund, rural Buffalo, Stacy (Brad) Duske, Montrose, and Shelley (Jeff) Fobbe, Maple Lake; nine great-grandchildren: Nick Berglund, Jesse, Jeb, and Josh Miller, Ryan, Evan, and Kaitlin Duske, and Shania and Justin Fobbe; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Scheubel.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at The Peterson Chapel-Buffalo. Pastor Becky Sogge will officiate. Marlene Mohwinkel will play the organ. Casket bearers are: Shane Berglund, Nick Berglund, Jesse Miller, Jeb Miller, Josh Miller, and Ryan Duske.

Interment is in Lakeview Cemetery.

Visitation is one hour before the funeral at the funeral home.
