Sarah Day Volkov (nee Stairs), age 25 of Montrose, passed away 5/25/18. Survived by husband, Alex; parents Cindy Day and James (Patti) Stairs; siblings, Rachel Halberg, Katie Stairs, and Elaine (Andy) Wendorf; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 3 PM with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Ave, Buffalo MN. Interment to follow at Zion Cemetery in Mayer, MN.
On the day you were born the Angels above sang in glory because you were a beautiful baby girl that would have joy in her heart and would touch many people lives. That little girl grew up and smiled at everyone she met and gave comfort. The little girl grew up to be a beautiful woman who had a beautiful voice. Now this beautiful Spirit sings with the Angels above. Bless it be your life touch so many people. Many who loved you will miss you our beloved Sarah.
Jim – I feel for you and your family – Earth has no pain that heavion can’t heal. The lord giveth and the lord taketh away. Blessed be his holy name.

Very saddened by the news. I only met Sarah once but she taught me what it meant to be “Minnesota nice”. Condolences to her family and friends.

I was very sorry to hear about Sarah tonight. I worked with her at CVS, she always seemed so happy and this breaks my heart, just wish with all my heart she was still here. Rest in Peace Sarah, you will be missed.
