Sarah Cecilia Kasper, age 101, of Albertville passed away Friday, December 19th at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

She was born on April 30, 1913 in Andover, South Dakota the daughter of Alec & Elizabeth (Roden) Bistodeau.

On June 14, 1950, Sarah C. Bistodeau and Ralph J. Kasper were joined in holy marriage at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville, Minnesota. God blessed their marriage with two daughters: Rita and Jean.

Sarah enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, flowers and being a caregiver all her entire life.

She was a lifelong member of The Church of St. Albert in Albertville. Sarah was also the oldest parishioner and belonged to St. Albert’s Christian Mothers.
Survived by her loving daughters: Rita (Tom) Fay of Albertville and Jean (Billy) Lightfoot of Louisville, Georgia; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a special friend: Sharon Fay; and by many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband: Ralph J. Kasper, her parents and by eight brothers and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sarah Kasper will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at The Church of St. Albert in Albertville. Father Xavier will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Albert’s Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22nd, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. at The Church of St. Albert in Albertville. Further visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, December 23rd one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers will be Jim, John and Mike Bistodeau, George Dhein, Floyd Roden and Steve Van Dyke.
