Sandra “Sandy” Jean Wessling, age 58, of Buffalo, MN, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on April 2, 1952, in Buffalo, the daughter of Hank and Hazel (Borgstrom) Wessling.
On July 18, 1987, Sandra J. Wessling and Robert B. Johnston were joined in holy marriage in St. Cloud.
Sandy worked as a kitchen aide at The Buffalo Middle School and she also did housekeeping for many years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, canning, making jelly, cooking, baking and was a neat housekeeper. Sandy also enjoyed her dog “Riley.”
Survived by her husband: Robert B. Johnston; daughter: Jacci Demarais (Mike Grant); granddaughter: Jordyn Demarais; brothers: Jack (Jo) Wessling and Kenny (Debbie) Wessling; uncles and aunts: Marion (Don) Kloss and Bernie (Mary Jane) Wessling; stepchildren: Joe (Gena) Johnston, Tom Johnston, Brenda Johnston and Connie (Jason) Holton; step grandsons: Brandon Johnston and Christopher and Nicholas Holton; brothers-in-law: Bart (Penny) Johnston and John Reynolds; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents: Hank and Hazel; an uncle: Chester Borgstrom; and by an aunt: Joyce Borgstrom.
Funeral services for Sandra “Sandy” Wessling will be held on Thursday, June 17th at 1:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. The Reverend David Milz will officiate. Interment follows at St. Charles Cemetery in Maple Lake.
Special music will be provided by Brenda Black singing “Amazing Grace” and Lee Demarais, performing on his accordian, “The Old Rugged Cross.”
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Further visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17th one hour prior to services.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Jordyn Demarais, Joanna Wessling, Ryan Wessling and Chris Wessling, Patsy Werner, Barbie Hawkins and Kathy Parker.
Casket Bearers will be: Mike Grant, Gary Wessling, Chet Wessling, Brenda Black, Susie Marschel and Penny Reetz.

We are so very sorry to have lost such a wonderful, friendly, and loving neighbor. She will be sadly missed.

Sandy was a sweet, understanding and, at times, goofy friend. I know we’ll meet again and be antiquing together as always.
