Sandra “Sandy” Lee Georges, age 79 of Buffalo, passed away Monday, October 3rd, 2022, while at home.

Sandy was born April 30th, 1943 to parents Bernhardt and LaVera (Zarn) Schultz in Truman, MN. Soon after they moved to Monticello, MN where she graduated, class of 1961.

On September 30th, 1961 she was joined in holy marriage to Leo A. Georges at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Monticello where God blessed them with four children.

Sandy was known for her amazing fish-frying skills and her love to talk to everyone. She enjoyed camping, fishing, baking delicious cookies, and feeding the birds and rabbits.

Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Bryan; parents Bernhardt and LaVera; stepmother, Elsie; infant brother, Richard; and sisters Jeanette and Betty.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Leo; children, Dennis (Lisa) Georges of Buffalo, Lynn (Terry) Wilson of Clear Lake, Jody (Craig) Spooner of Buffalo; grandchildren, Kristina (Shane) Fertig, Krystal Georges (Colby Mavencamp), Eric Wilson, Joel Wilson, Amelia Spooner, and Owen Spooner; great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Ryan, Crayton, and Madison; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends.

Memorial Service for Sandy will be held Friday, October 7th, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 11024 Church St NE, Hanover, MN 55341. Luncheon to follow at church.

Officiating will be Pastor Luke Schmidt.

Private family interment will be held at a later date.
