Sandra Marlene Jancik, 66, of Buffalo passed away peacefully Sunday, May 18th, 2008 in her home.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, you will be missed dearly. Precious child of God, you can now be free to live in wholeness and peace. Your compassionate heart, joyous laughter, and generous spirit will be missed by all of us. You are now in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He alone is our hope for all eternity.

Born in 1941, Sandra grew up in Virginia, Minnesota and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1959. She attended Northwestern School of Nursing in 1962 and worked at Minneapolis General Hospital, San Francisco Area Hospital in California, St. Cloud Vocational School, Buffalo Hospital, and Hillcrest Nursing Home.

Sandra™s love for her family and friends was exhibited through her generous spirit of giving during holiday gatherings. She loved needlework, bird watching, current events, travel, and music.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Marvin and Eleanor Hill; and sister: Marcia Hill.

Sandra is survived by loving husband: Dennis Jancik; daughter: Jennifer (Kendall) Bailey and their children: Zachary and Jeremy; son: Thomas (Erica) Jancik; sister: Kristine Green and her children: Dazhoni and Shundiin; brother: Bruce (Debra) Hill and his children: Robert and Victoria; and many other loving family members and friends.

Sandra M. Jancik was an extraordinary person who can be remembered as one who perceived life with wisdom and joy, delighting in her family and friends.

She will remain forever in our hearts until we see her again.

Funeral Service for Sandra will be Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 2pm at Zion Lutheran Church of Buffalo. Visitation will begin at 1pm at the church. Luncheon to follow.
