Sandra K. Charboneau, age 66, of Albertville, passed away May 15, 2019.
She was born on April 11, 1953 to Miles and Frances (Kunze) Schoeppach in Valley City, North Dakota. In 1956, she and her family moved to Coon Rapids, MN, where she attended high school and graduated with the class of 1971.
On September 8, 1973, she was united in marriage to Harold Charboneau at the Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids. Together they raised two daughters; Michelle, who was born in 1975 and Missy, who was born in 1979.
Sandy worked for the City of Blaine for many years, and eventually retired to spend more time with her family and friends. She and Harold moved to Surprise, Arizona, shortly after her retirement, and lived there for 16 years. In June of 2018 they moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family.
She loved reading, watching Days of Our Lives, bird watching, playing Mexican Train, and flowers. Most of all, she loved her family. Sandy enjoyed watching her daughters play sports, and was always at their games. Sandy was kind hearted, a gentle soul, and the matron of her family. Her beautiful blue eyes matched her beautiful personality. She was also a fierce warrior, and fought cancer with all she had. Sandy was diagnosed in 2014 with stage four uterine cancer, and then again in 2018 as it metastasized. Through it all, she never gave up and kept a positive attitude. She focused not on herself, but only worried about Harold. Their marriage not only stood the test of time, but their love story grew stronger each year.
Sandy is preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Harold; and daughter, Missy (Angie) Charboneau-Folch; sister, Judy Schoeppach; family friend, Cheryl Trisko; her sister, Jo Ann (Bob) Barbero; son-in-law, Hans Marahrens; grandson, Kaleb Marahrens, granddaughter, Vanessa Marahrens, in-law, Bertha Marahrens; nephew, Matt (Emily) Barbero; niece, Nicole (Josh) Brank; in-laws, Kenny & LaVonne Folch, Tina Folch, and Lisa Folch.
A Memorial Service to honor Sandy’s life will be held Friday, May 24, 2019, at 6 PM with visitation beginning at 4 PM at The Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St N, St. Michael MN.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com
