Visitation Information
Samuel William Munoz, 16, of Howard Lake passed away Sunday, October 14th, 2007 in Minneapolis. Sam was the beloved son of Kristine and Terry Munoz and brother to Amanda and Joshua Munoz. Though Sam spent just 16 years with us on this earth, his life brought great joy to those who knew him. Sam was and incredible son, brother and friend. His zeal for life and deep faith in Christ touched so many. Sam loved people.
God blessed Sam with a tender and compassionate heart that enabled him to love others and care for people in difficult situations. Sam recently said that his favorite place in the world was Guatemala where he spent time the last two summers serving children of Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos, a home for abandoned and orphaned children. Sam was a solid student who aspired to be a Pediatrician. Sam felt that being a doctor would give him a great opportunity to serve God by serving children locally and abroad. Sam loved baseball and had set a goal of earning a college scholarship as a ballplayer.
We will miss Samuel tremendously. We take comfort in knowing he is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father. We are grateful for the time that we have all shared with Sam who lived his life well.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007 from 3 to 8pm at the Buffalo Covenant Church. The family of Samuel Munoz will be present from 5 to 8pm.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 24th, 2007 at 7:30pm at the Buffalo High School Gymnasium.
The interment will be a private family service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a Guatemalan orphanage that Sam was involved with which is run by Side by Side.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Sam. He was in my son’s class. May God bless you and your family at this very difficult time. May the memories of Sam live on 4 ever.
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your family from my time in Delano at St. Peter’s. Please know that your family and Sam are in my prayers always.
In Christ,
Eric Evander
Terry, Kris, Amanda, and Josh,
I really wish I could be there to help celebrate Sam’s life with you this week. I cannot, but I am still praying for all of you in this time of pain, grief, and loss.
Much love,
Michele Nordine& family
Kris-
My parents (Sue & Glenn Lindfors) told me what had happened to you and your family. Our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
We are sorry for the loss of Sam but rejoice that someday you will run into each other’s arms again in heaven and the chain will again be complete. May God’s peace which passes all understanding find your hearts during this difficult time.
