Ruthann Marcella (Carter) Brecht, 72 died suddenly on October 12, 2013. Funeral service on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Buffalo, MN. Visitation on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 4-7 PM at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo, MN & one hour prior to service at the church on Monday. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Buffalo, MN.
Ruth was born on September 13, 1941 to John & Doris (Johnson) Carter. She was married to Raymond Brecht Jr. on January 10, 1959. Ruth enjoyed travelling around the US with her husband of 54 years. One of her favorite places to visit was Laughlin, NV where she loved to play bingo. She never won big money, but she was a fast “dobber”. Ruth enjoyed such hobbies as cross stitch, word finds & reading.
Preceded in death by her parents, John & Doris Carter & brother, Charles.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Kim (Tom) Goelz, Scott (Diana) Brecht, Kelly (Paula) Brecht, Annette (Brian) Kunkel; seven grandchildren, Joseph Goelz, Jennifer Simon, Matt, Hannah & Jake Brecht, Cassidie & Kurtis Kunkel; four great-grandchildren, Landon, Aaron & Owen Goelz & Lily Simon.
Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Ruthann.
