Russell Albin Olson
Age 82 of Buffalo, MN formerly of Eveleth, MN, passed away
on Friday March 26th, 2010 at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo,
Russell was born on April 2nd, 1927 in Sebeka, MN the son of
Leonard and Emma (Peterson) Olson.

Russell was a long-time member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in
Virginia, MN. He was also a member of the American Legion Post # 239
and was a member of the Masons Virginia Lodge #264.

Russell is survived by his loving family:
Sons: Douglas (Diane) Olson of Anoka, MN and Joey Olson of Ham Lake, MN.
Daughters: Gail (Gregory) Masterson of Corcoran, MN, Deborah (Ashok)
Aiyawar of Hanover, MN and Susan (Curtis) Lindberg of Lake Milacs, MN.
Step-children: Clifford (Betty) Kesanen, Rodney (Marilyn) Kesanen,
Thomas (Lea) Kesanen, Linda (Rusty) Erjavec, Brian (Denise) Kesanen.
Grandchildren: Stephanie, Nicholas, Joshua, Jesse, Adam, Sean, Erik,
Megan, Molly, Lyndsay, Nathaniel, Mariah, Laura and Mat.
Numerous Great-grandchildren step-grandchildren.
Brothers: Clarence (Geri) Olson of Coon Rapids, MN and Eloise (Alvin)
Pulju of Menahga, MN.
Sisters: Deloris (Jo) Charmoli of Menahga, MN and Elaine Makela of Menahga, MN.
Brother-in-law Ray Moorhouse of Park Rapids, MN.
Sisters-in-law Violet Olson of Warroad, MN and Phyllis Olson of Hibbing, MN.

Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his 1st wife Delores, 2nd wife Dorothy, parents
Leonard and Emma (Peterson) Olson, brothers: Melvin, Laverne and Floyd
Olson. Sister Mavis Moorhouse.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Nathaniel, Wesley, Matt, Owen and Leander.
Casket Bearers are (Grandchildren) Nicholas, Joshua, Jessie, Adam, Sean, Erik.

Funeral Service held Monday March 29th, 2010, 4:00 PM St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church in Hanover, with visitation beginning 3 PM, at the church.
Interment will be at Noon, Saturday April 3rd, at the Eveleth Cemetery
in Eveleth, MN with military rites by the Virginia American Legion.
Memorials directed to Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota.
The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael is proud to have served the family.

    Jeannie and I are deeply saddened to hear of Russell’s passing. It is very hard to lose someone so close to you. He was a fine and kindhearted man who raised an amazing family. Our condolences on your loss. Russell will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God watch over him.
