Russell A. Nelson was born on October 6, 1937 in Manly, Iowa, son of Bertha and Sam Nelson. Russell moved to Minneapolis and held a long career at Honeywell for 38 years. Russell was known for his commitment and dedication to his family. Russell made many sacrifices over the years and raised his children as a single parent most of his life with a focus to always put them first. His generosity, giving spirit, tremendous sense of humor and desire to always lend a helping hand made it a privilege to know Russ. He was truly a giving person and we will miss him terribly. We are happy that he has made his journey now to a better place and he is now at peace.
Russell is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Lavon, Leroy and Dale.
