Roxana Jean Weese, age 72 of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born April 1, 1948 in Buffalo, the daughter of William and Audrey (Elletson) Schwietering.
Roxana was baptized and confirmed in her faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Buffalo. She was a 1966 graduate of Buffalo High School.
Roxie worked many years as a daycare provider. She enjoyed crafts and stamping, playing cards, camping, going up North to the cabin, and spending time with her family.
On May 3, 1969, Roxana Schwietering and Kenneth Weese were united in marriage at Buffalo United Methodist Church.
Roxie was a faithful member of Buffalo United Methodist Church and was very involved with teaching Sunday School, the Christmas Program, and she was a founding member of their Handbell Choir. Roxie and Ken also began the church’s Christmas dinners, helping feed families on Christmas day.
Roxie had a bubbly personality, often being referred to as “Blossom”, and lived life to the fullest, laughing along the way. She was very kind and helpful to everyone. Family was the greatest joy in her life, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed by all!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Audrey Schwietering; sister and brother-in-law, Kaye and David Pramann; nephew, Andrew Pramann; parents-in-law, Ben Weese and Edna (Haraff) Anders; and sisters-in-law, Bernice Schermer and Doris Polinder.
Roxie is survived by her husband, Ken Weese of Buffalo; children, Chad (Jennifer) Weese of Maple Lake, Rebecca (Bryan) Clemen of Cokato; grandchildren, Samantha, Benjamin, Emily, Jacob, Maxwell, Kendra; siblings, William Schwietering Jr., Jeffery (Judy) Schwietering, Korb (Cheryl) Schwietering, Tim (Barb) Schwietering; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, family and friends.
A public visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Due to COVID precautions, a private family service will follow.

We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Roxie. My brother and granddaughter, Alice age 4, would visit Roxie every week at the care center. Roxie and Alice shared a special bond. Our hearts have been so sad that they could not visit these last 9 months. She sure was a special lady. Our sympathies to all.
