Rosella A. Johnson, age 96 of Buffalo, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Sunrise Cottages.
Rosella Agnes (nee Gunderson) was born on August 11, 1911 to Edward and Cora (nee Moe) Gunderson in Kensington.
On April 6, 1935 Rosella was joined in holy marriage to Stanley Johnson in Milbank, S.D. God blessed them with two children, Gary and Muriel. They moved from Annandale to Buffalo in 1956.
Besides being a homemaker, Rosella worked for Fritz™s Bakery. After retirement, she was able to enjoy traveling with her husband to different states in their camper. They also enjoyed their cabin on Lake Pulaski where they had fun fishing in their younger years. Rosella also enjoyed Twins baseball, playing cards (especially 500 and bridge), painting, doing ceramics, and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Rosella Johnson is survived by her daughter, Muriel (Ric) Bahneman of Buffalo; sister, Clarice Smith of Glenwood; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Johnson of Mesa, AZ; 8 grandchildren: Julie, Tracy, Cheryl, Thomas Chip, Kati Jo, Amy, Nicole, and Carrie; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley in 1996; son, Gary in 2000; siblings: infant Ruby Jane Gunderson, Archie Gunderson, LeRoy Gunderson, Jeanette Joranger, Irene Dingwall, Ervin Gunderson, Gloria Sampson, and Delores Brush; parents; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Becky Sogge will officiate. Diane Johnson will play the organ. The congregation will sing Holy, Holy, Holy, How Great Thou Art, and My Faith Looks Up To Thee. The casket bearers are: Phillip Giddings, Jason Zimmer, Chip Johnson, and Ric Bahnemen.
Visitation is at the church, one hour before the funeral.
Burial is in Zion Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to the family of Rosella, It was a pleasure getting to know her while she was at Sunrise Cottages she was a joy to be around. She will be deeply missed. God bless you all and please know that you are all in our thoughts at prayers
