Rose Agnes Hackenmueller (nee Lyrek), age 80, of Monticello and formerly of St. Michael died on Friday, August 10th, 2007.

She was born on September 4, 1926 in Delano the daughter of Peter M. & Genevieve Theisen Lyrek.

On June 8, 1948, Rose A. Lyrek and Bernard Hackenmueller were joined in holy marriage at The Church of St. Mary of Czestochowa in rural Delano. God blessed their marriage with twelve children.

Rose & Bernard engaged in farming near St. Michael for more than fifty years.

In addition to raising her family, Rose enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning and dancing.

She was a faithful member of The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael and its C.C.W. Rose also belonged to St. Mary™s Society of Catholic Aid and was often a Rosary Leader.

Loving wife of Bernard Hackenmueller; dedicated mother of Tony (Barb), Francis (Jody), Eugene (Grace), Tom (Jane), Therese (Gene) Koehler, Paul (Mary), Dan (Maura), Ron (Sherri), Mary (Jay) Eull, Lucille (Tom) Babler & Alan (Sue) Hackenmueller; further survived by twenty nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters: Eleanor Salonek & Bernice (Eldon) Kasper; five brothers: Clarence (Elaine) Lyrek, Steven (Alicia) Lyrek, Patrick (Joan) Lyrek, Gerald (Jane) Lyrek and John (Janet) Lyrek; other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by a son: Ernest, her parents: Peter M. & Genevieve Lyrek and by a brother: Edward Lyrek.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Hackenmueller was held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 14th at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Father Michael Becker was the Celebrant. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery.

Friends called at the Church on Monday, August 13th from 3-8 P.M. A Rosary was recited at 7:30 P.M. Monday evening.
