Ron was born on December 4th, 1931 in Rogers, Minnesota. He attended Oakdale Public school and St. John’s Lutheran grade school in Maple Grove, MN. From there, he attended Buffalo High School where he graduated in 1950. It was during that time that Ron met “Katie” on the school bus. Eventually they were married at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenfield on September 25th, 1954. They made their various homes throughout their lives in Buffalo, Minnesota where they also raised their three children.

Ron worked hard growing up on his parent’s 60-acre dairy farm as well as helping other local farmers in the area. He also worked outside the home during high school – pumping gas at Lakeview Motors “filling station” in downtown Buffalo. From there, Ron was promoted to a Parts and Service guy and from there to a full blown “salesman” for Lakeview Motors, Bill Matthews Ford, and his final destination…..Lundeen Ford in Annandale, Minnesota.

Ron and Katie spent thirteen “winters” in Phoenix, Arizona which Ron absolutely LOVED. He loved the comradery of new friendships, as well his ability to spend time reading outside in the 80-degree winters, breakfast at the Golden Coral, a sudden stop at any sign that said “Casino Ahead” and his endless hours in the wood-working shop in their park in Apache Junction.

Ron’s greatest treasures were his sixteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. (….with three more on the way). Ron was kept very busy by attending athletic events, music concerts and other school programs. Ron’s LOVE for bingo and “five-hundred” continued during this past year at Parkview Care Center where he finally went home to be with his Lord on Friday, October 7th, 2016.

My deepest sympathies to the Tiemann family. When I think of your dad I think of his smile and robust laugh. He was a very upbeat and positive person to be around and definitely had a love for people. May you be lifted up in the days ahead by the love and prayers of many. May your memories sustain you in the days ahead.may you find peace in knowing that he is at peace, joined with your mom and resting in his Saviors arms.
    Love, Terry and Julie

  2. Dic Danielson

Sorry to hear about Ron, he was a great guy. I know my dad, Johnny Danielson, was very proud of him and spoke many times how he met him at the Tessmer farm and hired him to work at Lakeview. Ron will me missed.
