Ron met Kay Rachel at a dance at The Maple Lake Pavilion.

In October of 1963, Ronald was joined in marriage to Katherine and together they raised their three children on the farm where they resided until his passing.  It was on this farm that Ron developed a fine herd of cows.  Many of his cattle were registered Holsteins and the farm was known as Merryville Farm.

While not farming, he was an avid Gopher sports fan, regularly attending home football games and was also an avid Twins fan.

Ron and Kay loved camping at Minnesota State Parks, taking the grandchildren whenever they could.    Ron was a proud grandfather and great grandfather.   He was delighted anytime he was able to attend a grandchild’s sporting event or to hold a great grandchild.
