Visitation Information

Ronald Joseph “Ron” Loch age 76 of Buffalo, MN. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday May 3, 2010 at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley, MN. Ron had suffered a fall in December and succumbed to several infections.

Ron was born in Maple Lake, MN the son of Joseph and Helen (Wurm) Loch on July 31, 1933. Ron graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1951. In 1952, he joined the Navy and served four years.

On June 22, 1957, he married the love of his life Dorothy Streich; their union was blessed with seven children.

Ron worked for Control Data for 30 years as a Project Engineer. He retired in 1990. Ron was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He loved to hunt, fish and garden. He was an avid Vikings and Twins fan. His favorite place in the world was his own home in Buffalo. He loved to visit with his children and grandchildren. His family meant everything to him.

Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy; his seven children Pam (Kevin) Silver of Rapid City, SD, Mike (Jane) Loch of Silver Lake, MN, Mona (Jack) Drake of Clear Lake, SD, David Loch of Buffalo, MN, Diane (Bill) Whelan of New Hope, MN, Jody (Chris) Skinner of Montrose, MN and Gina (Garth) Gertner of Prior Lake, MN. His grandchildren: Brandon (Anita) and Erin Silver, Adam and Amanda Loch, Britanie and Nathan Drake, Leah Loch, Ben and Nicole Whelan, Ryan, Taylor and Kaylin Skinner, Zachary Gelman and Kaia Gertner. Siblings: Donald (Marion) Loch of Coon Rapids, MN and Gene (Stephanie) Loch of Becker, MN. Sister-in-law Vioka Loch of South Haven, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Adrian, Alfred and Wally, and a sister Monica.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Grigoriev and the staff at Regency Hospital for their kindness, support and care during his four month stay.

Funeral Service held Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo, MN at 10 A.M.

Visitation held Friday at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo from 4-8 P.M. (prayer service held at 7 P.M.) and one hour prior at the church.

Interment is at the St. Timothy’s Cemetery in Maple Lake, MN

The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family.
