Visitation Information

Roland Rollie Lucht, age 84 lifelong farmer in Hassan Township, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Buffalo Hospital, reuniting him with his departed wife, Leona, and son, Harlan.

Roland William Lucht entered this world on April 3, 1924 in Corcoran Township to Henry E. and Annie (nee Stieg) Lucht. He served in the United States Navy from November 14, 1944 until October 9, 1946. Besides farming, Rollie was a rural mail carrier. He enjoyed going to coffee with friends, most recently at The Millside Inn in St. Michael. Always smiling, Rollie loved to tease waitresses and nurses and will be missed by his children for his humor, willing ear, and gentle guidance.

He is survived by his children: Karen Lucht, Buffalo, Carla (Mike) Bebeau, Rogers, Paul Lucht, Monticello, Ann Hanson (Frank Holt), Buffalo; brother, Herbert Lucht, Buffalo; sisters: Lorraine Wagner, Buffalo, Mabel Peters, California, and Caroline Lucht, Buffalo; grandchildren: Todd Lucht (Heidi Downing), Almora, Stefanie Hanson, Buffalo, Daniel Hanson, St. Michael, and Tammy Hicks, Rogers; great-grandchildren: Amrin Hicks, and Avri Lucht, and Annah Hanson; and brothers-in-law: Howard and Leona Schmid, Glenard and Irma Schmid, and Alvin Schmid: sister-in-law Linda Koepke; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, son, and brother, Otto.

A Time for Reminiscing will be held 4-8 P.M. Friday, May 16, 2008 at The Peterson Chapel “ St. Michael/Albertville.
