Roger LeRoy Swenson, age 80 of St. Michael, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was born on September 28, 1937 in Willmar, MN, the son of Bertel and Amy (Anderson) Swenson.
Roger graduated from Willmar High School in 1956. He was a proud Army Veteran and was a member of the Rice American Legion Post 473. Roger enjoyed watching TV and John Wayne, hunting, fishing, collecting guns, eating braunschweiger sandwiches, and spending time at the family cabin in Rice, MN.
Preceded in death by his son, Joel Swenson; parents, Bert and Amy Swenson; and siblings, Sharon, Roberta, Janice, Bruce.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace Swenson; children, John Swenson, Jayne Eberhardt, Julie Fox; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at The Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St N, St. Michael, MN.

We were so sad to learn of Rogers’ passing. We have many, many great memories of our summers at Little Rock Lake. We’re sorry we can’t be with you but you’re all in our prayers.
