passed away peacefully, April 19, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice House. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Muriel; son, Robert (Nancy); daughter, Jill Redmond (John); and three grandchildren, Cole, Jenny and Drew Redmond.
He was an exceptionally kind, generous and good Christian husband, father, grandfather and friend. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and worked as a tax accountant for several years and then attended William Mitchell College of Law. He worked as a real estate attorney for J.C. Penney Co. In 1986, he retired and moved to Florida. He loved coaching softball and basketball and taking his children on fishing trips. He drove for the security patrol, was a director in the Guardianship Program and was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Sun City Center, Florida. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, loved all sports and was an absolute number one Gator fan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to LifeBath Hospice; 3723 Upper Creek Drive, Sun City Center, Florida 33573
