Robert “Bob” Donald Schindler, age 89, of Buffalo passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Park View Care Center.

He was born on April 30, 1927 in Buffalo the son of Henry & Adela (Klatt) Schindler.

Bob was baptized at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on July 27, 1941 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

On July 14, 1951, Robert D. Schindler and Dorothy M. Perisian were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with two children.

Bob enjoyed farming, trees, flowers, cats, mowing grass, old tractors and old cars, coffee with friends and spending time with his family.
He retired from farming in 1969, then worked at Farm Hand, Mammoth and Temroc Metals. After retiring from the factories, he worked part time for Dan and Jerry’s Greenhouse of Buffalo.

He was a faithful, lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake.

Survived by his wife: Dorothy Schindler; a daughter: Cindy (Jim) Glunz; grandson: Fred Kelm; a sister: Joan Bechtold; sister-in-law: Delores Schindler; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by a son: Jon Schindler, his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Bud and Tina Perisian, a brother Richard Schindler, sisters-in-law Beverly Elsenpeter, Mildred Bonk and Janette Elsenpeter, brothers-in-law Allen and Albert Perisian and Glenard Bechtold.

Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Schindler will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church-Pelican Lake. Pastor Stephen A. Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Friday, October 7th one hour prior to services at the church.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Jim Glunz and Fred Kelm.

Casket Bearers will be Dan Weldele, Al Weege, Bill & Joe Coolen, Loren Weese and Raymond Schmidt.

    I am so sad for your loss!! Bob was one of my most favorite people!! I have known him since I was 16 years old working at Bridgman’s and again at Country Kitchen and Holmquist. He brought me my first tree from his woods when we moved into our first house in Buffalo, and got Mike a job at Temroc !!! I will miss him terribly!! God bless and keep you my old friend!! My condolences to the family.
